DELTA has been tasked to provide research and writting support to the program Defense Environmental Network and Information Exchange (DENIX).
Two energetic self-starting persons are needed to generate, package and prepare fresh, current, dynamic and engaging web content for publication on a Department of Defense website focused on the Environment, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) community. Candidates will be required to discover, collect, package and publish relevant content to a highly diverse audience, including senior government officials, internal DoD working groups and the general public. In addition candidates will be required to produce original content in ESOH subject areas that are emerging and/or underdeveloped.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Researching, producing ,identifying and collecting ESOH relevant materials such as scientific fact sheets, newsletter articles, conference materials and web content;searching for and retrieving scientific literature from databases and online sources.
Researching and reviewing scientific content effectively and translating complex materials into clear and concise, presentable web content identify and develop content for emerging ESOH areas of interest.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or 4 years work experience in any of the following: Communications, Journalism, English, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Risk Analysis or another ESOH related technical field and demonstrated skills in the following areas:
Strong written and verbal communication in business, technical, academic, article and web content writing,
Background in editing/proofreading for technical and non technical audiences,
Graphics, web or online media skills, including experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Flash, etc…)
Good understanding of business etiquette and protocol, general messaging, quality and standards control of communications pieces.

Excellent collaboration skills, particularly in soliciting and incorporating critique and feedback from multiple stakeholders. Individuals should demonstrated an ability to work well independently or on a team, always showing respect for diverse constituencies.
