At Maxar, our next generation spacecraft range from Earth observation to interplanetary missions, including NASA's Artemis Program Lunar Gateway Power and Propulsion Element (PPE). We are looking for an experienced Principal Avionics Hardware Engineer to join our growing Space Program Delivery team. This position provides an opportunity to participate in fast-paced iterative Avionics Hardware developments for Command & Data Handling systems, with an emphasis in proliferated LEO constellations applications.
As an Avionics Hardware Engineer, you will act as the engineering focal for one or several avionics units for different Space Infrastructure products. Collaborating closely with a cohort of electrical, mechanical, test and system engineers, you will develop electrical schematics, PCB board layouts, specifications and execute test activities in the laboratory. You will provide technical leadership, guide and mentor junior engineers to complete the overall design of the avionics boxes. This is an exciting opportunity to be the owner from concept to verification, production and operation of avionics hardware for space applications.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
