Summary:

Assembles/disassembles electronic equipment or systems ranging in complexity from simple to highly complex builds and rework. Performs assigned assembly operations using all applicable tools and occupational skills, with an absolute minimum of supervision and with an extremely high degree of competence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Satisfactorily fulfills the required technical qualifications of the job by through practical testing and demonstrating quality soldering techniques.
  • Capable of being certified for all assigned tasks within the scope of this job description and the applicable occupational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable military specifications and IPC specifications. Possesses the capability of applying those techniques necessary to manufacture complex electronic equipment.
  • Works from complicated drawings, operation sheets, assembly procedures, material specifications and processes, sketches, verbal instructions, etc.
  • Performs complex and intricate wiring and assembly operations to production standards.
  • Proficient skills associated with electrical assembly, such as: soldering, wiring, and electro-mechanical assembly; printed circuit board assembly; encapsulation and potting; RF assembly; wire wrap, specialized rework and repair, chassis, console and cabinet wiring and rack assembly.
  • Works with and assists Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering in solving practical problems and makes recommendations for improvement of products on operations applicable to assigned area.
  • Sets up and operates automatic, semi-automatic production equipment including but not limited to wire cutting and stripping equipment, pre-tinning, arbor presses, simple power tools, and/or related equipment necessary for the assembly of chassis, racks, consoles, brackets, terminal boards, printed circuit boards, panels, etc. Capable of conducting continuity checks.
  • Assists in training other Assemblers on new products or processes.
  • Moves assigned electro-mechanical hardware through production to its next corresponding operation, when required.
  • Capable of meeting pre-determined time standards to perform assigned tasks.
  • Computer skills are required to access Company Intranet to obtain information such as, i.e. Standard Operating Procedures, Material Safety Data Sheets, Drawing revision levels, etc.
  • Records, maintains, and researches/retrieves data via paper or computer, as applicable.
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, Safety Regulations and maintain a clean, non-hazardous work environment.
  • Possesses a good attitude toward job responsibilities and have the ability to deal effectively with co-workers, supervision and job related contacts.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-4 years directly related experience, or 0-1 year experience with IPC certification.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
