Job Description


Damuth Trane (Voted as one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia for 2024) is seeking a Systems Solutions Sales Leader for our office in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Required - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree from four-year college or university; and four years Sales Engineering or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Required - Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office products
  • Preferred - Previous sales leadership experience
  • Preferred - Experience selling and/or leading in a Trane Sales Office
  • Preferred - Experience with reading and understanding financial statements
  • Preferred - Experience with setting yearly budgets
  • Preferred - Experience with creating and executing operating plans
  • Preferred - Experience in HVAC or construction or engineering background

Other Requirements

  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Ability to pass formal background check
  • Ability to prove U.S. Employment eligibility without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Mobility within the office and on jobsite
  • Required - Valid Driver's License for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
    • DUI in the previous 5 years
    • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 5 years.
  • Required - Reliable personal transportation
  • Required - Current automobile insurance providing liability coverage limits of at least $100,000/300,000 Bodily Injury, or $300,000 Combined Single Limit
  • Required - Ability to operate a motor vehicle & drive distances anywhere within the Damuth Trane territory

A Day in the Life

  • Establishment and accountability for setting and achieving annual sales goals and annual operation plan for the System Solutions Sales Team
  • Coaching of System Solutions Sales team staff
  • Assignment of Account Responsibilities, Sales Leads and Opportunities for the System Solutions Sales Team
  • Understanding and usage of Damuth CRM tools for coaching, achieving sales results, and assisting operational staff with business forecasting
  • Approve and initial all System Solutions Sales Team credits, variances, and sales concessions
  • Administer and monitor the manufacturers incentive programs (if any).
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade "manufacturer rep" product lines the Company
  • Maintains the relationship with Trane.
    • Achieve Top 25% ranking in the "Pacesetter Rankings"
    • Meets equipment market share goals
    • Meets annual quotas
  • Oversees and resolves conflicts regarding account assignment, commission splits, and legal issues.
  • Learns, implements, and supports Company processes for regular individual and sales team meetings with the sales leader for team meetings, account reviews, opportunities reviews, monthly commitments and updates, and sales team training
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required
