Position Summary:
The Engineer, Computer IV will provide project engineering support for engineering team. Efforts will be focused toward COTS/GOTS integration for military C4ISR network systems. Will work independently or as a team member to perform, prepare, review, analyze, and modify system and network designs, technical documents and data packages for C4ISR based military networks to ensure customer requirements are satisfied. Perform trade studies and participate in equipment selection. Must generate and review system hardware documentation. Will participate in integrated product teams and engineering/design reviews.
Responsibilities:
  • Integrating hardware, software, network, processes, etc. into solutions for new and existing systems
  • Maintain an understanding of, and have experience with, delivering solutions for a wide-range of programs and customers; demonstrating the ability to address and resolve technical (hardware, software, network, etc.) problems
  • Establish technical boundaries and constraints; and draw conclusions necessary to delivery optimal and cost-effective solutions that meet customer's requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend engineering designs and techniques, and assist in resolving technical obstacles, to prevent project delays.
  • Responsible for ensuring solutions are scalable and reliable
  • Requires working with many other technology groups to ensure reliable delivery to our customer.
  • Escalate any issues to Sr. Management immediately.
  • Enforce the adherence to all corporate and customer Quality processes and procedures.
  • Provide Pre-SOVT validation, perform minor hardware replacements or repairs, perform post-production modifications (PPM), Cyber Technical Upgrades (CTU), and Technical Refresh rack refurbishment.
  • Provide support at the ship or shore site of the install for pre-light off equipment and wiring validation or testing, initial light-off of the system and for any hardware or wiring repair or replacement internal to the equipment racks.
  • Provide onsite and offsite systems integration, familiarization, OJT and technical training as required and support the development of training documentation.
Education/Certifications:
  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the Secret Level. Individual must be able to maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment. U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ten (10) years with Masters degree or 14 years with BS degree and experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks.
  • Five (5) years of technical experience in support of TACNET or other Navy C4I systems. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
  • Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified within 6 months.

Pay Range: $33 - $65 per hour
