As the QMS Manager, here's the work you'll do:

We're looking for a full-time, staff Design Quality Manager to join our Mason & Hanger teams located in either Glen Allen, VA, Lexington, KY, Virginia Beach, VA.

  • Design Quality Manager will help in overseeing the Mason & Hanger Quality Management System (QMS) by ensuring compliance with the ISO 9001 standard requirements.
  • Assist the Director of Quality Management in oversight of the M&H QMS and ensure conformance with ISO 9001 standard requirements by the following:
  • Attend training on performing QMS/ISO 9001 internal audits (if not already qualified).
  • Perform internal audits throughout the year and developing audit reports.
  • Participate in annual external 3rd party audit for continued ISO 9001 certification.
  • Maintain and control M&H QMS Documentation, including Quality Manual, Quality Management Procedures, Project Delivery Guide and other QMS standards, forms, and guides. Track Quality Objective results and determine if corrective actions are required if we fall short of our goals.
  • Develop and perform training and training on M&H QMS standards and procedures.
  • Perform cross discipline coordination and constructability quality reviews for project deliverables which include drawings, specifications, and reports. Will also, ensure discipline specific quality reviews are being conducted for all projects across all offices and all disciplines.
  • Serve as the Design Quality Manager for individual projects as required.
  • Utilize Deltek Vantagepoint to track quality reviews and quality objectives.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement on our processes and procedures and tools related to the QMS. Review and update processes and procedures on a regular basis.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Previous Project Management experience in the AEC Design Consulting space preferred.
  • Understanding of Government Quality Control Processes and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Understanding of Architecture, Engineering, Design/Build, Construction processes and ability to review set of design drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to organize, understand, analyze and improve QMS and design processes and procedures.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain quality management documentation.
And if you have these qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Engineering or Architecture degree (preferred).
  • 5+ years minimum relevant A/E Design / Design Quality / Quality Management System experience.
  • ISO 9001 certification and or auditor experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • MS Office suite.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of drug and background screening process.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $84,080 - $126,120. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
