Sentara Therapy Center, conveniently located on the Sentara Port Warwick campus in Newport News, provides skilled physical therapy services. The licensed clinicians at Sentara Therapy Center specialize in general orthopedics, neurological rehab, amputee rehab, manual therapy, vestibular rehab, spine rehab, sports medicine and post-surgical rehabilitation. The caring staff is dedicated to meeting the needs of each patient and helping them reach their rehabilitation goals.
As aPhysical Therapist (PT)with Sentara, you evaluate and treat patients with a variety of mobility impairments. You help them every day with regaining a piece of their independence and seeing their success. This position's primary duties include transferring, ambulating, assisting with exercises, gait training, stair climbing, and balance. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients. Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.Master's or Doctorate Level Degree preferred. 1 year experience required for Resource Pool applicants.
For Hampton Roads Outpatient facilities only - Must obtain Direct Access certification within one year of hire for those with a BS or MS degree
