We are seeking candidates for the position of Industrial Engineer I!

This position supports new product development and improvement activities in all direct and indirect manufacturing areas through process analysis, process improvement, and methods standardization by using Canon Innovation Manufacturing Solutions (CIMS) and Industrial Engineering tools and engineering principles.
Responsibilities
- Understands the purpose of and implementation process of manufacturing practices, and is able to actively participate in and support a program in numerous departments.
- Finds opportunities for and collects data for manufacturing practices. Documents data, prepares summary report(s), and makes presentation of data to all interested parties.
- Organize and lead the Improvement training to expand the whole CVI or even whole Americas to realize the lead time reduction, productivity increase, cost down activity.
- Study the Store layout based on the manufacturing method, changeover time/frequency, production schedule, etc. and revise drawings.
- Evaluates inventory levels, calculates minimum levels based upon cycle/standard time, uptime, yield, customer demand, changeovers, etc.
- Analyzes test data and draws conclusions from findings to determine efficiency/reliability of the system/operation being evaluated.
- Writes technical reports to document investigation procedures and results, presenting findings to management and key decision-makers.
- Supports analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop and/or design new processes utilizing & applying engineering principles, research data, & proposed product specifications.
- Measures and analyzes production data, identifies and prioritizes opportunities for improvement; develops action plans to implement improvements.
- Prepares system/sub-system layouts & detailed drawings, designs & builds prototype systems/subsystems.
- Interacts with suppliers/vendors, requests quotes, and communicates issues as needed.
- Provides CIMS or Industrial Engineering support to the manufacturing departments to troubleshoot and solve production problems related to process or system design.
- Write reports or research proposals and document design process and maintain a record of improvements/changes.
- Updates recurring reports as required.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and 0-2 years' experience in a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- May have to travel.
- Must be 18 years of age to apply.
