Job Description

The Logi Analytics User Experience Designer is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Logi Analytics reporting as part of a DoD Client. This is a "hands on" position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

This position is responsible for the development and sustainment of the Logi Analytics customer experience, ensuring its operational readiness, executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of development.

This position must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Must be willing to work on site in Suffolk, VA, a minimum of 3 days per week.

POSITION ACTIVITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Work directly with the customer to migrate existing business processes from legacy systems into next generation BI environment

- Work with both internal and external customers to identify product pain points and get feedback on potential solutions.

- Conceptually iterate on product features, creating wireframes and prototypes that translate customer requirements into cohesive experiences for defined persona.

- Work closely with the customer to define acceptance criteria.

- Support an agile process and solve implementation challenges that arise during sprints.

- Will review pull requests, enforce UX standards, and ensure product consistency.

Background and Preferred skills

The candidate will design and develop applications in the Logi Info platform based on business requirements of the client. This role also requires an understanding of database development to support the functionality of the Logi application.

  • Experience developing applications in Logi Info Studio. Experience with other BI development tools will be considered
  • Experience with HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with Java web applications, Apache Tomcat and Linux
  • Experience with database development and ETL in a MySQL environment
  • Experience in environments with continuous integration and agile software development.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Good communication skills, must be able to clearly communicate ideas, decisions and reasoning to team members and clients
  • Ability to work independently
  • DoD Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one
