We're hiring a full time Database Analyst to support our government client, Commander Naval Airforce Atlantic (CNAL), in the Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) located in Norfolk, VA to work with Ironclad's current CNAL team. Our successful Database Analyst candidate will be highly competent in gathering and analyzing data, organizing, and documenting findings of studies, and preparing recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain responsibility for designing, developing, modifying, and troubleshooting software programs, including desktop applications and computer-based IT systems.
  • Design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot databases and programs, correct database, and program errors by modifying programs or altering sequence of program steps, analyze, review, and rewrite databases or programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt programs to new requirements, including Web hosting of metrics, compile and write documentation for database and program development and subsequent revisions, and train users to use databases or programs.
  • Compile and write documentation for program development and subsequent revisions. Train operators to use programs.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise: This Database Analyst position must meet the following:

  • Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
  • Clearance: Secret
  • 4 years of experience with programming and software development
  • 3+ years of experience with PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle, XML, and/or XSLT
  • 1 year of experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL)
  • Experience with implementing automated build and deployment pipelines and supporting platforms
  • Experience with troubleshooting and supporting enterprise data applications
  • 4-15 years of experience with a BA/BS degree in a related field. 6 years of experience in a related field my be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. An Associate Degree plus 4 years of additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Experience with developing and supporting Microsoft Access databases, Excel, including VBA, Access Macros, and SQL
  • Experience with Naval Aviation databases, including OOMA and DECKPLATE, PsILS, AMSRR, AFAST, ACES, ASM, or SHARP and MSHARP
  • Experience with using visualization systems, including Qlik or Tableau
  • Experience with supporting the development and maintenance of SharePoint sites
  • Knowledge and use as a developer of Tableau, PowerBI, QlikSense or other similar visualization tools
  • Experience with the use of SharePoint 2013/2016/2019/O365 site collections
  • Experience in MS SharePoint, Power Applications, Excel, Access, and VBA
