Engineering Project Manager

This Position is Contingent upon Contract Award

Purpose:

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an Engineering Project Manager who will provide key support to the Engineering Department.

Job Description:

Manage technical support provided to the Engineering Department with specific focus on processes and products associated with the development and implementation of mandatory maintenance strategies such as:
- Maintenance of CMP task data
- Analysis of CMP task assessment results
- Development of hull level Baseline Availability Work Package (BAWP) requirements
- Adjudication of CMP task deferrals
- Analysis of CNO availability schedule changes and capturing significant ship materiel history.
Monitor contractor resource capacity and existing workload; schedules workflow and establishes sequences for all assigned tasks.
Identify and apply additional resources to mitigate issues that may negatively impact SURFMEPP ability to continually maintain quality CMP content and attain established U.S. Navy surface ship maintenance and modernization end to end process delivery dates.
Monitor performance measurements, by project and tasking, to maintain product quality control.
Promote continuous quality improvement and efficiency of technical support services provided.

Qualifications:

Must have a BA/BS in Business, Engineering, or Arts or related field or equivalent experience and at least 7 years of program or project management experience.
Must have experience managing depot level U.S. Navy surface ship maintenance planning functions or direct experience related to U.S. Navy surface ship operations or maintenance planning and execution.
Must understand U. S. Navy surface ship maintenance and modernization end to end process and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) planning process requirements.
Must have knowledge of the Navy Maintenance Database (NMD), the Validation, Screening, and Brokering (VSB) and Maintenance & Ship Work Planning (M&SWP) automated information systems.

Desired Qualifications:

Prefer at least 5 years of experience in U.S. Navy ship depot level maintenance planning functions or at least 7 years progressive direct experience related to U.S. Navy surface ship operations or maintenance planning and execution.
Prefer experience in management or supervisory roles at a Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Repair, and Conversion command, Regional Maintenance Center, U.S. Navy Central Planning Activity, U.S. Navy Planning Yard Activity, or a Planning for Engineering and Repair Activity.
Prefer experience as a Naval Supervising Authority Project Manager or a U.S. Navy Port Engineer.

Security Requirements:

Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional Travel- Less than 10%
If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Communicating with others to exchange information.

Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $110,000 per year
