Responsible for front and back office procedures to include scheduling appointments, checking-in and out patients.

Obtain patient history and vitals, remove staples/sutures.

Prepare rooms for patients, assisting physicians with minor surgeries, direct patient care.

Assist with completion of necessary paperwork.

Answer phone, make appointments, return patient calls.

Performs other duties as assigned.

High school diploma plus successful completion of a medical assistant program. Successful completion of a Medical assistant program (or equivalent military training) and certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) is required or ability to obtain certification within the first 90-days of employment. Must complete a Basic Life Support (BLS) class and re-certify every 2 years.

Previous medical office experience with relevant functions in a doctor's office preferred. Must have some working knowledge of computers.
